Junior Legal Officer (JLO) Recruitment 2025 by Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC)

 

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released the notification for the Junior Legal Officer (JLO) Recruitment 2025. Notification Date: 19 August 2025

Number of Vacancies: 12 (subject to change as per requirement)

Type of Job: Permanent

Reservation: Available for SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS, women (widows/divorcees), PwBD, and ex-servicemen as per rules

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification
  1. Degree in Law from a recognized university in India or equivalent as declared by the Government.
  2. Knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script and familiarity with Rajasthani culture.
  3. Final year law students can also apply but must submit proof of qualification before the interview.
  • Age Limit

Minimum: 21 years

Maximum: 40 years (as of 1 January 2026)

  • Age Relaxation

SC/ST/OBC/EWS (Male): 5 years

SC/ST/OBC/EWS (Female): 10 years

General (Female): 5 years

Widows/Divorced women: No upper age limit

Special provisions exist for ex-servicemen, NCC cadet instructors, repatriates from Pakistan (1971), and PwBD.

 

Selection Process

The selection is carried out in three stages:

Written Examination (Objective type)

Interview/Viva-Voce (10% weightage of total marks)

Document Verification

 

There will be negative marking, and 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. The exam can be held online (Computer Based) or offline (OMR based). Candidates must answer every question, as leaving more than 10% blank leads to disqualification.
