  • Code of Civil Procedure, 1908.
  • Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (Substantive Criminal Law).

Paper III: Evidence, Limitation, and Local Acts

Paper IV: Language Proficiency  

The language paper is split into two equal parts and follows a Senior Secondary educational standard.

Part A: General Hindi (25 Marks)

  • Word formation (Sandhi, Samas, Prefix, Suffix).
  • Word types (Tatsam, Tadbhav, Deshaj, Foreign).
  • Grammar (Noun, Pronoun, Adjective, Verb, Indeclinables).
  • Vocabulary (Synonyms, Antonyms, One-word substitutions).

Important Examination Rules  

  • Question Volume: Each of the four papers contains 150 questions.
  • Passing Criteria: You must score at least 40 percent in each individual paper to pass.
  • Relaxation: Candidates from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes receive a 5 percent relaxation on the passing marks.
  • Negative Marking: Be precise with your attempts; 1/3 of the marks for a question will be deducted for every wrong answer.
