4. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must possess a Degree in Law from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
  • Preference (Adhimanyata): The notification states that preference will be given to candidates who have a First Class degree, or those who have completed two years of practice at the Bar, or those with higher qualifications.

Employment Registration (Rojgar Panjiyan)

Relaxation in the upper age limit is provided for specific categories (residents of MP only):

  • SC/ST/OBC/Women/Government Employees/PwD: A relaxation of 5 years is granted, making the maximum age 45 years.
  • Ex-servicemen are also eligible for age relaxation based on their length of service plus three years, provided they do not exceed the age of 45.

5. Selection Process

The selection process consists of two primary stages:

  1. Written Examination: An objective-type test conducted using OMR sheets.
  2. Interview: Candidates who qualify for the written exam based on the merit list will be called for an interview.

The final merit list for selection will be prepared based on the combined marks obtained in both the written exam and the interview.

6. Examination Pattern

  • Mode: Offline (OMR based).
  • Question Type: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions).
  • Negative Marking: There will be negative marking for incorrect answers.
  • Syllabus: The detailed examination plan and syllabus will be published separately on the MPPSC website.
  • Interview Marks: The interview is worth 100 marks.
  • Qualifying Marks for Interview: To be eligible for the interview, Unreserved category candidates must score at least 41 marks, while Reserved category and PwD candidates must score at least 31 marks.

7. Pay Scale / Salary
