Delhi Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP) Recruitment 2025: A Brief Overview for Law Aspirants

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recently released the official notification for the recruitment of Assistant Public Prosecutors (APP) in Delhi. Eligibility for the Exam 

To be eligible for this position, applicants must hold a degree in law from a recognized university and should have at least three years of experience practicing as an advocate at the Bar. Preference will be given to those with prior experience as a government advocate.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for general candidates is 30 years, with age relaxations available for candidates from reserved categories—33 years for OBC, 35 years for SC/ST, and up to 40 years for persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD), as per government norms.

General: Maximum 30 years

OBC: Up to 33 years

SC/ST: Up to 35 years

PwBD: Up to 40 years

 

Exam Pattern

The selection process for the Delhi APP recruitment consists of two stages: a written examination followed by a personal interview. The written test will be conducted offline using OMR sheets and will consist of multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 300 marks. The duration of the exam is expected to be around two hours, and there will be a penalty of one-third of a mark for each incorrect answer. Only those candidates who qualify in the written test will be shortlisted for the interview round.
